Sherrié Austin

Sherrié Austin (* 28. August 1970 in Sydney ; bourgeois: Sherrié Veronica Krenn ) is an Australian Country - singer , songwriter and actress . Her highest ranked title to date, Streets of Heaven , reached number 18 on the Billboard Country Charts in 2003 .

Life

Influenced by Johnny Cash , Sherrié Austin has been an active songwriter and singer since she was 14. She first worked in Australia with Phil Radford in the Duo Colorhaus . Then she moved to the United States . There she gained a certain fame through her participation in the TV series The Facts of Life in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s she went to Nashville , Tennessee and released her first solo album in 1997, entitled Words . The two singles Lucky In Love and Put Your Heart Into It , which were extracted from the album, reached number 34 on the C&W charts in 1997 and 1998, respectively. In 1999 she reached number 29 with the title Never Been Kissed from the album Love In The Real World . With the title song Streets Of Heaven from the album of the same name, she reached number 18 in the C&W charts in 2003.

Since 2005 she has increasingly appeared as a songwriter for other artists. She wrote Shotgun Rider (2007) for Tim McGraw , Where Have I Been All My Life (2009) for George Strait , If I was a Woman (2011) for Trace Adkins and Strong Shot of You (2014) for Jo Dee Messina .

Her last album to date was released in 2011 in a small edition under the title Circus Girl on her own label, which bears the same name.
