Shin'ichi Watanabe (athlete)
Shin'ichi Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 邉 真 一 , Watanabe Shin'ichi ; born November 16, 1976 ) is a Japanese marathon and ultramarathon runner .
In 2002 he came in twelfth place in the Lake Biwa marathon and 13th place in the Berlin marathon . The following year he was fifth in the Nagano Marathon and 17th in the Fukuoka Marathon , and in 2004 he was seventh at Lake Biwa and sixth in Berlin. In 2005 he was ninth at Lake Biwa and came 13th in the Chicago Marathon .
In 2007 he won the Saroma Lake 100 km ultramarathon in 6:29:57 h and with the world best time of 6:23:21 h at the IAU 100 km World Cup , which was held as part of the Run Winschoten .
At the Tokyo Marathon 2010 he finished 14th.
