content

The student Amu Hinamori ( 日 奈森 亜 夢 ) goes to the Seiyo elementary school. She is perceived as cool and confident, but in reality she is insecure and shy and wishes to be different. One morning she found three colored eggs, green, red and blue, in her bed, from which little magical beings called Shugo-Charas ( Shugo = protection) hatch. They represent Amu's desired self. These now help her in life, but also cause difficulties. Finally, Amu has to find other such eggs and beings who are the embodiment of bad dreams, the X-eggs. She has to fight against the Easter Company , which is looking for a special egg called an embryo and which can fulfill all wishes. She also meets Ikuto Tsukiyomi and Utau, who both have Charas and are sent by Easter to look for the embryo. Although Ikuto told Amu that they were enemies, they still feel drawn to each other, even if Amu always denies it.

At school, Amu soon belongs to the Seiyo Academy Guardians , who are admired by everyone and who have a Shugo-Chara themselves. They too are looking for the embryo . The four include: Hotori Tadase (King's Seat), for which Amu raves, Fujisaki Nadeshiko (Queen's Seat), Sōma Kūkai (Boy's Seat) and Yuiki Yaya (Ace / Lady-in-waiting). Amu becomes the wild card. Amu's first chara is Ran, who represents her desire to be more courageous, honest and sporty, her second Miki, who represents her desire to be more artistic and sensible, and Sū, who represents her desire to be more girlish and empathetic, and to be able to cook well. Tadase's Chara is called Kiseki, who stands for the desire to rule the world, Nadeshiko's Chara is called Temari, who represents her desire to be more elegant and a Japanese dancer, Kūkai's Chara is called Daichi, who stands for his desire to be even more athletic, and Yaya's Chara is called Pepe, who represents her desire to be cute and baby-like.

With the help of their charas they can show the true character and talents that lie dormant in them. Tadase becomes a domineering king when you say “prince” in his presence. Because of his otherwise very gentle manner, he detests this change of character. Nadeshiko becomes very aggressive when changing characters and just wants to win, she doesn't like that either. Kūkai becomes an extreme athlete, Yaya a baby and Amu can become a courageous cheerleader with Ran, a level-headed artist with Miki and a loving housewife with Sū. Eventually Fujisaki Nadeshiko and Sōma Kūkai leave the guards and are replaced by Rima Mashiro and Kairi Sanjo. Kairi later leaves and is replaced by Fujisaki Nagihiko, Nadeshiko's real identity.

In the course of the plot, Luluton de Morselle Yamamoto, called Lulu, joins us, who works for Easter and thus creates new problems. Ikuto and Tadase now develop feelings for Amu and share them with her in a confession of love, but Amu does not answer because she is not yet aware of her feelings herself. Another goal of Easter is to use Ikuto to catch the embryo. For this purpose, his violin is filled with X-energy and receives the new transformation "Death Rebel", with which he no longer has himself under control. In the decisive fight against Death Rebel, Gozen's true identity is ultimately revealed and thanks to Amu, Ikuto finally manages to tear himself away from Easter. After that, Ikuto travels abroad to find his father. He bets Amu that he will find his father before Amu has discovered who she is.

Characters

Amu Hinamori: Amu is the main character and the joker of the Guardians, she has four Shugo Charas: Ran, Miki, Su and finally Dia. She also raves about Tadase, but after a while she also develops feelings for Ikuto. After Ikuto's declaration of love, she initially doesn't know what to do. She has the most metamorphoses. She has an outside ego that she doesn't exactly like, so she wished to find the real me, and so came her three Shugo eggs. Ran was the first to slip, she is subject to the athletic part and she made Amu a few difficulties. Miki slipped second, who proved herself in the field of art. The third who hatched is Su, who is very knowledgeable about cooking and order. At first Amu didn't accept all of this, but then she couldn't get rid of her three Shugo Charas. When Kukai left school and Nadeshiko went abroad, a fourth egg was born at the beginning of the new school year. It was the egg Dia, which first became an X-egg, but then came back to Amu. Amu wants to free Ikuto from Easter and makes a big transformation in the final battle, together with her four Shugo Charas. This is how she saves Ikuto. In the end, they freed the remaining X eggs as well. In the end she seems to have lost her Shugo Charas, but at the end of an important journey through her memories, she has her Shugo Charas back in the form of the original eggs.

Nadeshiko / Nagihiko Fujisaki : Nagihiko (initially known as Nadeshiko - the Queen of the Guardians) is actually a boy who was brought up as a girl because of his parents' big Fujisaki dance school, and who brings this across very credibly. Even after the end, Amu doesn't know anything about his second identity and believes Nadeshiko is his twin sister. His two Shugo Charas are called Temari and Rhythm. He went abroad for a year to continue the dance there. Amu is very sad about this as Nadeshiko and Amu were best friends. He gets his Shugo Chara Rhythm very late.

Tadase Hotori: The King of the Guardians, crush of all girls and otherwise very popular. His Shugo Chara is called Kiseki. First he falls in love with "Amulet Heart" but then he notices that Amulet Heart and Amu are one and the same person. If "Prince" is said in his presence, the chara change automatically occurs with Kiseki and Tadase becomes a boy who wants to achieve world domination. He's actually very shy. As a little boy he wasn't very strong and therefore wanted more confidence and strength, so Kiseki was born. He makes a declaration of love to Amu, but Ikuto is secretly in Amu's closet. When Tadase finds out everything he gets sad, but Amu and Tadase make up again. He wants to know the truth about Ikuto. He wants to free Ikuto from Easter with Amu. Its chara transformation is called: Platinum Royale. He's in 5th grade, not Amus, but 6th they're in the same grade. He transforms for the first time when he is controlled by Hoshina Utau's CD and Kiseki nearly died. Amu comes and saves him. The common attack with Amu is: Platinum Heart.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi: He is the owner of the Dumpty Key and the Shugo Charas Yoru. He too is after the embryo. Although he works on behalf of Easter, he often helps Amu and gets closer to her and openly shows her affection for her. He and Tadase are enemies for a long time, but when Ikuto is rescued by the Guardians, this enmity is lifted. The guy seems to be very calm and you never know exactly what he's thinking at the moment. Although Amu initially knows very little about him, he quickly becomes very close to her. He loves music and enjoys playing his father's violin; He wants to look for this after the end and leaves Amu after a confession of love. Amu can only see him once more afterwards when she is looking for her Shugo Charas. In doing so, she can observe how Yoru disappears and returns to its origin.

Utau Hoshina / Tsukiyomi: She is Ikuto's sister and a newly acclaimed singer. At the beginning she only does this job to find the embryo. While she wants him for her beloved brother, her manager Sanjō only wants him for a career jump at Easter. Her two Shugo Charas are called Iru and Eru, and she is owned by Dia (called Daya at that time) for some time.

Yaya Yuiki: Ace of Guardians. She is very childlike and a spoiled baby. Your Shugo Chara is Pepe. She wanted a baby Shugo Chara because she is jealous of her little brother. Your chara transformation is called Dear Baby.

Rima Mashiro: She takes on as Nagihiko abroad is the role of Queen. Rima loves comedy and often tries to make her parents laugh too, which unfortunately never works. Her parents take very good care of her as she was almost kidnapped before. At first glance, she seems pampered and cool, but she also has a friendly, outgoing side. Her Shugo Chara is Kusukusu and her transformation is called Clown Drop. She is jealous of Nagihiko.

Kukai Sōma: He's the Guardians' boy. His Shugo Chara is Daichi. He loves sports and trains Amu as a joker by making a race with her that she can't keep up with. At first he usually laughs at Amu. After the holidays, Kukai has to leave school and resigns from the Guardians, after which Kairi takes on his role as a boy. Nevertheless, he comes to visit the Guardians and usually gives Amu advice, he still belongs to the group. His first transformation is in the battle between Utau and Amu. It's called: Sky Jack.

Kairi Sanjō: After Kukai, he's the boy in the Guardians. His Shugo Chara is Musashi. He only came to school to spy on the Guardians because of his sister. But he befriends them. He helps the Guardians save Utau. After everything went well, he left and made a declaration of love to Amu, because he is also in love with Amu. When Tadase and Amu came to his school he was jealous of Tadase and wanted to avoid Amu, but then he made the right decision and helped them. He only came back to Amu's home town once to help his sister and her future husband Nikaido with the wedding ceremony. He met Amu again.

Yukari Sanjō: She is Kairi's big sister and also the manager of Utau. She too initially works at Easter, but after the Guardians have rescued Utau, she also gets on the right track and quits at Easter. She was with Yuu Nikaido once, but they separated; but eventually they get married after Nikaido proposed to her.

Yū Nikaido: He pretended to be Amu's teacher and wanted to make an embryo himself, with many X-eggs and one Amu egg. But Amu and her Shugo Chara Su bring him back to good. Eventually he becomes a real teacher and teaches Amu's class.
