The seven springs are karst springs near Sulzbach-Rosenberg in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .
location
The seven springs are located southwest of the Breitenbrunn district of Sulzbach-Rosenberg in the Breitenbrunn valley. These karst springs drain via the Breitenbrunner Bach and the Rosenbach to the Vils . Dolomite rocks rise up on the surrounding slopes . The area is under landscape protection .
description
At several points in the Breitenbrunn valley, erosion has cut the karst water level ; Seven larger springs pour clear water there from the Malmdolomites , which flows directly into the Breitenbrunn brook and strengthens it into a river. Its top source, the so-called Rieglasbrunnen, is also a karst spring. The seven sources are identified by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment as geotope 371Q002. Flora and fauna
Kingfisher and dipper can be seen along the stream . Marsh marigolds and some wild herbs grow in the area .
