Siegfried Däbritz (born March 27, 1975 ) is Vice-Head of the Islamophobic, ethnic, right-wing populist Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West (Pegida) from Dresden . He has been a speaker at almost all Pegida rallies since April 2016 at the latest. Formally he is deputy chairman of the Pegida Förderverein eV

Life

Siegfried Däbritz lives in Meißen, Saxony . There he runs a pension together with his parents . He is also a security entrepreneur. Siegfried Däbritz was friends with two Systema martial arts trainers from Dresden , according to a report on coloRadio, even before Pegida was founded . In the coloRadio report, citing research by the journalist Boris Reitschuster, a possible collaboration between Siegfried Däbitz and the Russian military intelligence service Glawnoje Raswedywatelnoje Uprawlenije - GRU, and thus a possible influence of the Russian military intelligence service GRU on the Pegida organization team, is considered likely.

Siegfried Däbritz ran in 2009 as a city councilor for the FDP in Meissen. At that time he was also on the board of the FDP in Meissen. Siegfried Däbritz was active in 2014 with hooligans against Salafists (HogeSa) , which the Saxon constitution protection confirmed. On March 5, 2015, Siegfried Däbritz became deputy chairman of the “Pegida Förderverein eV”, the legal entity of Pegida. Since Tatjana Festerling and Edwin Wagensveld left in mid-April 2016, Siegfried Däbritz has been the most frequent speaker at Pegida rallies alongside Lutz Bachmann and Wolfgang Taufkirch . For the Pegida demonstration on November 7, 2016, the Dresden city administration banned Lutz Bachmann and Siegfried Däbritz from chairing the meeting until the end of October 2021, because both were "classified as untrustworthy" by the city administration. Since then, the chairmanship of the meeting has been taken over by Ines Claudia Gemeinert and later by Wolfgang Taufkirch. Siegfried Däbritz wanted to run for the AfD for constituency 155 (Meißen) in the 2017 federal election. Instead, the AfD nominated Carsten Hütter for this constituency . According to information from the Sächsische Zeitung , Siegfried Däbritz should run for Pegida as an AfD candidate in the Saxon state election in 2019 in the Zwickau district , which was rejected by the Saxon state association .

Comments and reception

Siegfried Däbritz has insulted Muslims in a closed Facebook group of Pegida as “Mohammedan camelwarmers” and “gorge shit”. He presented himself at target practice. In a speech at the Pegida rally on September 26, 2016 in Dresden, Siegfried Däbritz spoke out in favor of millions of deportations from Germany and Europe . On March 19, 2018, Siegfried Däbritz congratulated Vladimir Putin on winning the presidential election in Russia at a Pegida rally .
