Siegfried Forstreuter , sometimes faulty Forstreuther (born April 18, 1914 in Berlin ; † October 30, 1944 in the Brandenburg prison ) was a German communist and resistance fighter against National Socialism .

Life

Forstreuter, a tool lathe operator, was a member of the KPD and the “Fichte” workers' sports club . From the marriage with Hildegard, geb. Wildbrett, which he closed on September 25, 1937, had a son born in September 1944.

Both belonged to a resistance group led by Anton Saefkow , Bernhard Bästlein and Franz Jacob against the National Socialist rulers , which agitated against the war in Berlin armaments factories .

Forstreuter had contacts in the Army Equipment Office . He coordinated the workers there who were prepared to resist with the group around Saefkow.

Together with Harry Harder , Karl Lüdtke and Waldemar Hentze , Forstreuter belonged to a KPD company cell around master Max Sauer in the gear factory Friedrich Stolzenberg & Co. GmbH in Berlin-Reinickendorf . The company group was part of the Saefkow-Jacob-Bästlein organization and met several times with Saefkow and others in the apartments of Forstreuter, Harder and Lüdtke for discussions. In July 1944 Forstreuter, Lüdtke and Harder were arrested and sentenced to death by the People's Court . On October 30, 1944 Forstreuter was executed in the Brandenburg prison .
