Siegfried Laboschin
Siegfried Laboschin (born May 23, 1868 in Gnesen ; † 1929 in Breslau , Lower Silesia ) was a German painter and graphic artist and art critic of Jewish descent.
Life
After attending grammar school in Gnesen, Laboschin studied from 1887 to 1889 at the Art Academy in Berlin with Anton Alexander von Werner , then at the Art Academy in Munich with Friedrich Fehr and Hugo von Habermann . From 1892 he lived in Breslau and founded his own school there.
He is known for his landscape and architectural painting , but also as a portraitist and designer of bookplates . Laboschin was in charge of the art section of the Breslauer Zeitung for over 20 years .
