Siegfried Poker

Siegfried Pokern (born September 19, 1976 in Berlin ; † between March 15, 2008 and May 23, 2008 in Bergen near Bichlbach , Ausserfern ) was a German operetta and opera singer (tenor) who joined the ensemble in the 2002/2003 season of the State Theater Braunschweig .

Life

For many years he sang in the Staats- und Domchor Berlin under Christian Grube. He completed his vocal studies with D. Hackel at the Berlin University of the Arts and with Scot Weir at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin in 2002 with a diploma. Before that (1998) he received the Franz-Grothe-Preis at the national singing competition .

In 1999 he made his debut as Cupid in Orpheus in der Unterwelt at the Komische Oper Berlin and in 2001 sang Basilio ( The Marriage of Figaro ) at the International Chiemgau Festival. Guest appearances have taken him to Freiburg im Breisgau , Bremen and Schwerin . Siegfried played poker in Braunschweig as Missail ( Boris Godunow ), Graf ( Die tote Stadt ), Freddy ( My fair Lady ), Monostatos ( Die Zauberflöte ), Dancairo ( Carmen ), Gustl ( The Land of Smiles ) and soldier ( Der Kaiser von Atlantis ). Other roles were Alcindor in La Bohème , Count Boni Káncsiánu in Csárdásfürstin , Mottel Kamzoil in Anatevka and Gastone, Visconte de Letorières, in La traviata .

Most recently, he was represented in most of the operas and operettas of the Braunschweig State Theater. In the summer of 2008 he was supposed to play a leading role in the open-air opera The Flying Dutchman on Brunswick's Burgplatz .

On March 15, 2008, the opera singer was reported missing in Tyrol. His body was discovered on May 23rd in Ausserfern at 1,800 meters. He is probably when crossing from Pfuitjöchle to Hochschrutte in the Ammergau Alps with a cornice canceled and 400 meters crashed.
