Siegfried Saloman
Siegfried Saloman , actually Salomon (born October 2, 1816 in Tønder , † July 22, 1899 in Dalarö near Stockholm ) was a Danish composer and violinist .
Life
Saloman studied at JPE Hartmann in Copenhagen , among others . In 1838 he went to Dessau and in 1841 to Dresden , where he was a student of Karol Lipiński . From 1847 he traveled as a violin virtuoso, from 1850 he performed together with his future wife Henriette Nissen , whom he married in Berlin in 1852 . In 1859 he settled in Saint Petersburg . After the death of his wife in 1879, he lived in Stockholm.
He composed seven operas , several overtures , violin pieces and numerous songs, which he wrote mainly for his wife.
