The type 130 is a series cargo ship type from the Sietas shipyard in Hamburg-Neuenfelde .

history

The Belland , formerly Atria (Type 130b)

The series was manufactured in thirteen units from 1985 to 1990. The type 130 ships are mainly used in small and medium-sized voyages. Depending on the version (130, 130a, 130b or 130c), they are tailored to their respective use through the height and shape of the superstructures, differently shaped stems , the ice class and other special features.

technology

The Rita (Type 130a)

The type 130 is a further development of the type 110, which was produced in parallel until 1986 . The main difference is in the wider hull, which enables a 55.90 meter by 10.40 meter hatch with around 1,000 m³ of larger cargo space with the same load capacity. Four containers can be stowed side by side in the 1.10 meter wider hatch, one more than in the 110 type. Overall, the variants with a flat deckhouse (types 130 and 130a) can stow up to 153 TEU , while the variants with higher superstructures (types 130b and 130c) can stow up to 198 TEU.

The first ships of the series are powered by a 4- stroke diesel engine from the manufacturer Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz , throttled to 875 kW , which acts on a variable-pitch propeller via a reduction gear . Later ships in the series received diesel engines with an output of up to 1860 kW made by Deutz or Wärtsilä . The hulls were assembled in sectional construction, with the hulls of subtypes 130b and 130c being classified for an ice thickness of up to 80 centimeters ( ice class E3).

The shape and height of the superstructures vary for the various sub-types. The river-accessible basic type 130 has a flat deckhouse with only one deck below the bridge and folding masts. The sub-type 130a has a modified deckhouse and rigid masts. The superstructure of the sub-type 130b has three decks below the bridge, the sub-type 130c has two decks. Most of the ships received a vertical stern. The three units delivered in 1990 have a two meter longer hull with a dropout stem.

The box-shaped cargo space (box-shaped) with a capacity m³ of 4763 is for the transport of containers and heavy reinforced and has four removable Scots , also known as steerage can be used. Depending on the design, folding hatch covers or stackable so-called “piggy-back” hatch covers were installed.
