The type 110 is built with 28 units of a series of the most successful types of cargo ship Sietas in Neuenfelde .

history

The series was manufactured from 1981 to 1986. For the second ordered ship ( Tini , hull number 872) to the eighth ordered ship ( Frauke , hull number 897), capital was raised jointly. This group was advertised as "Söben Deerns" (seven girls) and therefore received women's first names without exception. The Type 110 is mainly used in small and medium-sized journeys and on rivers. Depending on the version (110, 110a, 110b or 110c), the individual ships are matched to the respective application due to the lowering of the superstructures, differently shaped stems , different loading space heights and other special features. The type 110 formed the basis for the development of the Sietas type 130 .

technology

Most of the ships in the series are powered by a 4- stroke diesel engine throttled to 735 kW , which acts on a controllable pitch propeller via a reduction gear . Individual ships also received more powerful propulsion systems. Marine diesel engines from various manufacturers were installed in the series .

The ice-reinforced hulls were assembled in a sectional construction. The river-going ships were designed in the basic version (type 110) with a lowerable wheelhouse, folding masts and a vertical stem. In contrast to this, the 110a type has fixed superstructures and the 110b variant also has a 3.90 meter longer hull with a protruding stem and a bulbous bow . The type 110c has a cargo space height of 7.4 instead of 6.9 meters and a wheelhouse that can be extended further, which means that higher deck cargo can be loaded. The versions with lift bridges are often referred to as "sea snake".

The 55.92 times 9.30 meters tall boxy cargo space (box-shaped) of the base type with a capacity m³ of 3777 is for the transport of containers and heavy reinforced and has four removable Scots , also known as steerage can be used. The type 110 has 90 TEU container spaces. Depending on the design, folding hatch covers or stackable so-called “piggy-back” hatch covers were installed. All ships were delivered without loading gear . The Frauke received in 1989, subsequently a loading crane, which one dismantled again 1,992th
