Eduard von Waldow and Reitzenstein

Eduard von Waldow and Reitzenstein , in contemporary representations also by Waldaw and Reitzenstein (* July 5, 1796 at Gut Reitzenstein ; † April 22, 1873 ibid) was a German manor owner and politician in the Kingdom of Prussia .

Life

After taking part in the Wars of Liberation in 1813/14 , Eduard von Waldow studied law at the new Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . In 1818 he took over the management of the family estates and owned the estates Reitzenstein , Hammer , Költschen , Königswalde , Osterwalde and Waldowstrenk in the Sternberg district . From 1818 to 1865 he was the representative of the manor owners at the dike office of the Warthebruch . He was sixteen years for chairman of the rural poor management of the Neumark and Knights of St John .

In 1847 he was a member of the United Prussian Landtag , from 1849 to 1851 of the First Chamber of the Prussian Landtag and in 1854 he became a member of the Prussian mansion for life. He was also a member of the Brandenburg provincial parliament . From 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Frankfurt 5 ( Sternberg ). In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament . He belonged to the Conservative Party .
