Siggi and Raner
Siggi and Raner was a German comedy duo that consisted of Jochen Krause (* 1950 in Eystrup ; † February 6, 2012 ) and Martin Jürgensmann (* 1967 in Hanover ). As “Siegfried / Siggi Behrens” (Jochen Krause) and “Rainer Heinecke” (pronounced “Raner Hanecke” in Hanover colloquial language) (Martin Jürgensmann), the two embodied two characters from the Lower Saxony state capital.
“Siggi und Raner” differ from other “Proll Comedy” primarily through their local color: In particular, they parody the lower-class jargon of the Hanover- Braunschweig - Hildesheim region in terms of vocabulary, style and coloring, or the typical workers' sociolect of the District of Hanover-Ricklingen, which is also typical of the larger traditional working-class district of Linden . The scenes mainly consist of bar-counter conversations in the protagonists' regular pub, the fictional pub “Bei Atze”.
"Siggi and Raner" was born in 1994 in the area of " Frühstyxradios " on the private broadcaster radio ffn . After graduating from high school, Martin Jürgensmann studied philosophy and political science for a few semesters and worked as a bass player for various bands. Until the summer of 2013 he was chief editor at Radio ffn. Since then he has been a presenter at NDR 1 Niedersachsen and since January 2014 he can be heard as the plumber "Schüssel-Schorse" on the station's radio comedy . Jochen Krause was a trained high school teacher, also professionally active as a musician, and worked for the same broadcaster as an author and senior editor.
In 2005, the mayor of Hanover, Herbert Schmalstieg , thanked the duo for "putting Hanover as a dialect in the center of public interest, maintaining it and keeping it in use". In 2008, Siggi and Raner and Christian Bredlow put the project "We are Hanoverians" online. Here, the Hanoverian language style is documented using original recordings that go back to the 1970s. Mayor Stephan Weil took over the patronage .
In May 2011 the duo presented their musical show "Von Linden bis nach'n Kröpcke hin - Eine Großstadtrevue" at the Theater am Aegi in Hanover. The two were supported by a live band.
On February 6, 2012, Jochen Krause died "at the age of 61 after a short, serious illness".
