Sigmund Freud Lecture
The Sigmund Freud Lecture has been held almost every year since 1970 on May 6th, Freud's birthday, in Vienna , the place of origin of psychoanalysis .

Internationally renowned psychoanalysts and, in some cases, experts from other areas of the humanities and natural sciences are invited. The lecture archive of the Sigmund Freud Museum offers an overview of speakers and topics.

The annual Freud Lecture is organized by the Sigmund Freud Private Foundation , which also houses the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna IX. carries and gestures. Occasionally the Academy of Fine Arts , the Society of Doctors in Vienna , the University of Vienna or the Vienna Lectures act as co-organizers . In recent years, the lecture took place in the classical Billrothhaus of the Viennese medical profession, with the lively participation of leading Viennese personalities from cultural studies, medicine and psychotherapy.
