Sigmund Feuerabendt (born June 20, 1928 in Bayreuth ) is a German writer , researcher, composer and translator.

Life

Feuerabendt studied psychology and philosophy in Erlangen and Würzburg . He learned yoga and Sanskrit with Boris Sacharow and studied music in Bayreuth. Feuerabendt's main topic is philosophy with an emphasis on the position of science in relation to philosophy, as well as subject areas of education. In addition, he dealt with problems of imprinting and developmental psychology . In further research he also worked on problems of astrology , macrobiotics and rhythm research.

Feuerabendt has been a member of the Jean Paul Society since 1954 and one of the first members of the Richard Wagner Society . For his research on Jean Paul he was awarded the Silver Jean Paul Medal . For the anniversary year 2013, he published new essays on the subjects of 200 years Richard Wagner and 250 years Jean Paul Friedrich Richter . After the death of B. Sakharov, Feuerabendt took over the management of the First German Yoga School (EDY, founded in 1921 in Berlin) based in Speichersdorf in 1959 .

The Sigmund-Feuerabendt-Foundation for cultural integration is recognized as a public foundation under civil law with its seat in Speichersdorf. The main task of the foundation is “ natural education ”, which is accepted as the basis of every culture or human existence.
