Sigmund Hieronymus Castner

Sigmund Hieronymus Castner (born February 2, 1835 in Weidensees , † December 4, 1919 in Nuremberg ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

Born as the son of a forest ranger, Castner studied law in Erlangen , Jena and Munich . During his studies in 1854 he became a member of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . After his exams in 1858 and his legal training, with positions as a legal intern at the regional court and at the Eichstätt district court , he went to the Oettingen regional court in 1862 and then became a concipient with a Nuremberg lawyer . From 1863 to 1865 he was a legally qualified mayor of Roth near Nuremberg , then until 1868 a legally qualified city police actuary in Augsburg and until 1872 a district office assessor in Münchberg . From 1872 to 1883 he was District Office Assessor in Kitzingen and then until 1898 he was District Administrator in the District Office Neustadt an der Waldnaab . In 1897 he was Councilor and went in 1898 for health reasons to retire.
