Signum is a Dutch trance duo consisting of Pascal Minnaard and Ronald Hagen .

Career

Pascal and Ronald both grew up in Zoetermeer and met at school. Both had an interest in making music and started working together. After losing contact, both initially pursued solo careers. In 1997 Pascal published “Adapter”, the first production under the pseudonym Signum. At this time he met Ronald again, who also signed a record deal with the music label BPM Dance . Their first joint production appeared in the same year. "What Ya Got 4 Me" became a big club hit and reached the UK singles chart . Today the song is considered a trance classic.

After the great success with their first single together, the two continued their collaboration and from then on they were also very popular remix artists. The following year inquiries came from ATB , Alice DeeJay and Yves Deruyter . In the meantime they have also produced remixes for Delerium , Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond .

Only after a few years did the two start a career as a DJ . In July 2001 they made their debut in England with a three hour DJ set at Gatecrasher . Since then, they have performed in numerous clubs and festivals and have been booked around the world.

In 2003 the music label BPM Dance was dissolved. Signum then signed with Armin van Buuren's music label Armada Music . In 2004 the duo worked with the singer Anita Kelsey and released the single "Come Around Again" together. Her remix of Armin van Buuren's production "Serenity" became the official anthem of the 2005 sensation in Amsterdam . Signum has also released some productions under the pseudonym D-Factor . After the duo worked on their debut album for over two years, the album For You was released in December 2010 .

While Ronald Hagen still lives in Zoetermeer today, Pascal Minnaard moved to Norway in 2008. However, the two still work together and use the possibilities of the Internet.
