Sigrun Kiesewetter

Sigrun Kiesewetter (* around 1941 ; † October 11, 2019 ; actually Sigrun Le Ker-Kiesewetter ) was a German singer and writer. Among other things, she became known for her Low German songs .

Life

Sigrun Kiesewetter is a sister of Knut and Hartmut Kiesewetter. She grew up in Eiderstedt . After graduating as a kindergarten teacher , she studied singing and acting at the Hamburg University of Music and Performing Arts . She was then engaged at numerous theaters. In 1968 she sang three pieces of the German translation of the musical Anatevka , which can also be heard in the dubbed version of the 1971 film Anatevka . On the LP Över de stillen straten , released in 1975, she sings Low German and North Frisian songs . After the birth of her second son, she set her own lyrics to music.

Sigrun Kiesewetter taught voice training and wrote short stories, some of which were published by Rowohlt-Verlag .
