Simon Denny

Simon Denny (* 1982 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand artist who became known as an installation artist . He is professor for time-related media at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts .

Life

Denny graduated from the University of Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree . In 2009 he graduated from the master school at the Frankfurt Städel . Since 2003 his works have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in his home country, in the USA and in Europe.

In 2015, his installation Secret Power was shown at the 56th Venice Biennale in two locations, the Biblioteca Marciana on St. Mark's Square and in the arrival hall of Marco Polo Airport , which deals with the former chief designer David Darchicourt of the US National Security Agency ( NSA).
