Simon Frenz (born December 11, 1970 in Kiel ) is a German squash player .

Career

Simon Frenz grew up in his hometown of Kiel, where he attended the Max Planck School and graduated from high school at the age of 18.

He began his professional career in 1989 and won several titles on the PSA World Tour . He achieved his best position in the world rankings with rank 28 in January 1990. At national level, Simon Frenz won the German championship three times in 1994, 1997 and 1999 . At the 1996 World Cup , he qualified for the first and only time for the main draw of the tournament. After an opening win against Tony Hands , he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Brett Martin . With the German national team he was runner-up behind England in 1990, 1993 and 1994 and took part in numerous world championships. His last participations were in Cairo in 1999 , Melbourne in 2001 and Vienna in 2003 . In 1991 he also won the European Cup with the Boastars Kiel. In the 1st Bundesliga he was able to win the German championship seven times.

Since the end of his professional career, Simon Frenz has continued to play in the Bundesliga. He is also the managing director of Hanse Reprozentrum GmbH in Hamburg.
