Simone Missick
Simone Missick (* 19th January 1982 in Detroit , Michigan as Simone Cook ) is an American actress .
life and career
Simone Missick attended Renaissance High School until 1999 and then studied at Howard University , which she graduated in 2003 before moving to Los Angeles .
She has also been an actress since 2003. She was first seen in a small role in The Epicureans . This was followed by a few appearances in short films, before she was also seen in series such as Ray Donovan , Scandal and Wayward Pines .
Since 2016, she has played one of the leading roles as Misty Knight in the Netflix series Marvel's Luke Cage . She also took on this role in other series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe , such as in Marvel's The Defenders and in the second season of Marvel's Iron Fist . Since 2019 she plays the leading role of Lola Carmichael in the series All Rise . In 2020 she also took on a central role in the second season of the series Altered Carbon - The Immortality Program .
She has been married to actor Dorian Missick since 2012 and has had his last name ever since.
