Sinead Diver
Sinead Diver (born February 17, 1977 in Béal an Mhuirthead ) is an Australian long-distance runner of Irish origin.
Career
Sinead Diver was born in County Mayo , Ireland, and relocated to Melbourne at the age of 25 . It was not until she was 32 that she started running after the birth of her first child. A knee injury prevented her participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro the following year .
At the Nagoya Marathon on March 12, 2017, Diver was tenth and increased her best to 2:31:37 h. In August she took part in the marathon at the World Championships in London and finished 20th in 2:33:26 h. At the end of the season she was seventh in the Saitama Marathon in 2:33:00 h.
In 2018 Diver became Australian champion in the half marathon . In October she won the Melbourne Marathon and increased her personal best to 2:25:19 h. She achieved a further increase to 2:24:11 hours at the London Marathon 2019 , where she finished seventh. At the Oceania Championships in Townsville, Australia, she won the 10,000-meter run . Over the same distance she reached 14th place at the World Championships in Doha with a personal best of 31: 25.49 min.
