Sinead Louise Farrelly (born November 16, 1989 in Havertown , Pennsylvania ) is a former American football player .
Career
Farrelly began her professional career in 2011 with Philadelphia Independence in the WPS , which she signed in the first round of the 2011 WPS draft in second place. After the dissolution of the WPS, she ran in the 2012 season for the New York Fury in the WPSL Elite .
In the 2012/13 season Farrelly played for the Cypriot Champions League participant Apollon Limassol and was eliminated with this in the first round of the competition against the Italian representative ASD Torres Calcio .
In February 2013 Farrelly was hired as a so-called free agent from FC Kansas City . She made her league debut on April 26, 2013 against Seattle Reign FC , in this game she also scored her first goal in the NWSL. After the end of the NWSL season, she moved on loan again to the Cypriot club Apollon Limassol and after her return to the USA in early 2014 on to Portland Thorns FC . Before the 2016 season, she moved to the Boston Breakers , but was not used due to injury and was released from her contract at the end of the season. After the Seattle Reign FC had acquired Farrellys playing rights in the NWSL, she ended her career in December 2016.
International
Farrelly played for various youth teams of the American Football Association until 2012 .
