Sisay Lemma Kasaye (born December 12, 1990 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .
In 2012 he won the Maratona d'Italia . In 2013 he finished fifth in the Tiberias Marathon , won the Orlen Warsaw Marathon and came fourth in the Eindhoven Marathon .
In 2015 he ran fifth in the Dubai Marathon and won the Vienna City Marathon and the Frankfurt Marathon , where he improved to 2:06:26.
In 2016 he improved the world record over 30 km to 1:27:20 hours at the Dubai Marathon . In the end, however, he had to be content with fourth place after 2:05:16 h.
With third place at the Berlin Marathon 2019 , he improved his best time to 2:03:36 h.
