Sittig from Hanstein

Sittig Wilhelm Carl von Hanstein (born February 5, 1837 in Beuern, † August 2, 1904 in Heiligenstadt ) was a Prussian administrative officer and parliamentarian. He was the heir to Unterhof-Wahlhausen.

His parents were the forester and manor owner Karl von Hanstein (1786-1853) and Wilhelmine, née. von Steinmetzen (November 1, 1797 - December 2, 1887).

Life

After attending grammar school in Erfurt , he studied law and camera science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1858 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After completing his studies, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1865 he became district administrator for the district of Heiligenstadt . He held the office until his death in 1904.

Hanstein was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Saxony . From 1867 to 1870 he sat as a member of the constituency Erfurt 2 (Heiligenstadt, Worbis) in the Prussian House of Representatives in the faction of the Conservative Party . From 1896 to 1904 he belonged to the Prussian manor house .

He married the baroness Marie Johanna Bertha von Innhausen and Knyphausen (born October 31, 1840, † May 9, 1900).
