Skelgårdskirken

Skelgårds Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Amager southeast of the Danish capital Copenhagen . It was created on November 8, 1988 by splitting off from Tårnby Sogn . This belonged to Harde Sokkelund Herred in what was then Københavns Office until 1970 , then to Tårnby Municipality in the reduced Københavns Office . In the course of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 , the municipality became part of the Hovedstaden region .

Of the 42,539 inhabitants of Tårnby, 13,827 live in the parish of Skelgårds (as of January 1, 2020).

The church “Skelgårdskirken” is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipality in the east is Tårnby Sogn, furthermore in the north neighboring Københavns Kommune ( German : Copenhagen ) Solvang Sogn and in the south neighboring Dragør Kommune Store Magleby Sogn .
