Slade Professor of Fine Art

Slade Professor of Fine Art (dt. Slade Professor of Fine Art is) one in English and American tradition after a donor named Chair and title of senior professor of art at the universities of Cambridge , Oxford and London .

They are the legacy of the philanthropist Felix Slade and were founded on the first anniversary of his death in 1869. Associated with this establishment was the establishment of the Slade School of Fine Art in London , the current president of which holds this Slade professorship. The Slade Professorship in Oxford is a visiting professorship at All Souls College with a compulsory teaching position.
