Slayers Excellent ( Japaneseス レ イ ヤ ー ズ え く せ れ ん と) is the second of two three-part OVAs for the light novels , manga and anime series “ Slayers ”. It is one of a series of prequels based on the Slayers Special books, which primarily shed light on the history of the protagonist Lina Inverse . As with the first OVA Slayers Special - The Book of Spells, the studio JC Staff was responsible for the animation .

Episode 1: Labyrinth

Lina and Naga are assigned by villagers to rescue some villagers from a maze. However, the rescue mission turns out to be a trap and the two sorceresses have to face a vampire.

Episode 2: The Terrifying Future

Lina is hired by a wealthy merchant as a bodyguard for his spoiled daughter Siren. Since Siren gets on Lina's nerves more and more during the course of the trip, Lina decides to teach her a lesson. She meets up with some bandits and persuades them to kidnap Siren. When the supposed kidnappers are attacked by real bandits and Sirene is really kidnapped, Lina has to team up with Naga to save Sirene.

Episode 3: Lina-Chan, the great fashion strategy

Lina and Naga get into an argument between two fashion designers. The two each join one side and quickly realize that the fight is being waged with a hard band. In the end, the opponents face each other in huge golems, whereby in the end Lina can triumph over Naga.

In Germany, the OVA was published by OVA Films in 2005. The series was released in English on March 30, 2004 by ADV Films . In New Zealand and Australia , Madman Entertainment Pty. Ltd. distribution.

The OVA was broadcast for the first time on German television on GIGA TV from June 29, 2007 to July 13, 2007.
