Smizer Vishnyou
Smizer Vishnyou, (Belarusian Зміцер Вішнёў / Zmicier Višnioŭ, * 1973 in Debrecen , Hungary ) is a Belarusian writer and visual artist.

Life
He studied philology and journalism in Minsk ( Belarus ), where he is still at home today. Vishnyou is one of the formative authors in the younger generation of Belarusian literature . He is a poet, performance artist, literary critic and program director of the literary magazine Teksty . Since 2007 he has been managing the Belarusian, state-independent publisher Galiafy together with Michas Bashura .
Vishnyou co-founded the artist movement Bum Bam Lit , which triggered a rediscovery of the Belarusian language in the literary landscape. From this movement emerged in the 90s in addition to Smizer Vishnyou a number of other younger authors such as Valzhyna Mort , Michas Baschura , Ilja Sin or were later influenced by them such as Wolha Hapejewa and Alherd Bacharewitsch .
Vishnyou can look back on several volumes of poetry such as Шкабкавый тамтам (Striped Tamtam) 1998, Vestibule Moskito, Texts and visual works (2001) and 2002 prose Трап для сусьлiка (Gangway for the ground squirrel) and volumes of essays. His most recent book of poems appeared Фараон у заапарку (Pharaoh at the zoo) in 2006. In his poetry he addresses the urban, playing with the utopias and forms of avant-garde , especially the Futurism or ties in the sound experiments on the Dadaism like in his poem cycle I am a poacher! I steal poems in Germany! . This was the title of his last reading tour with panel discussions in Dresden and Berlin link.
As an author and publisher, he was involved in transnational projects, from which the German-Belarusian anthologies Frontlinie 1 and Frontlinie 2 (2003, 2007) emerged. His stay at the Kunsthaus Tacheles in Berlin inspired him to make his debut novel Замак пабудаваны з крапівы (Das Brennesselhaus), 2010 (German 2014).
