The Snookerfabrik Berlin e. V. is a billiard club from Berlin . The club, founded in 2005, has been playing in the 1st snooker league since 2015 .

history

The Snookerfabrik Berlin was founded in 2005 and became a member of the German Billiards Union in 2006 . In the 2006/07 season, the club started with two teams in the Berlin Oberliga and took second and third place. The first team finished third in 2011 and took first place in the 2011/12 season. Then she defeated the 1. BC Halle in the decisive game of the promotion round with 3: 1 and rose to the 2. Bundesliga . In the 2012/13 season , the club came in third place tied with the runner-up, SAX-MAX Dresden , and thus just missed out on participation in the relegation. In the following season he was five points behind 1. DSC Hanover second, but could not prevail in the relegation against 1. SC Dortmund and the Münchner SC . In the 2014/15 season they again reached second place, but now defeated the first division club SC Breakers Rüsselsheim 7-1 in the relegation and thus made it to the 1st Bundesliga . The club achieved their first Bundesliga victory on the fourth match day of the 2015/16 season when BC Stuttgart was defeated 5-3 in 1891 . It was the only defeat of the eventual runner-up during this season. The Berliner secured relegation on the eleventh game day after a home defeat against Stuttgart, as the league competitor Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher also lost. At the end of the season, the snooker factory took third place.

In 2016 , Simon Lichtenberg became a member of the Association of German Masters for the first time .

Second team

The second team of the snooker factory reached second place in the 2006/07 major league. After the club had reported only one team in several seasons, the second team came fourth in the major league in 2013. Then she reached first place three times in a row and lost only two league games in the three seasons. In 2014 she was eliminated from the group stage in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . After not taking part in the promotion round in 2015, the team reached the decisive round in 2016 and lost to BV Pforzheim just 3-2.
