Solbakk is a village in the Norwegian municipality of Strand in the province of Rogaland .
It has 93 inhabitants (as of 2013) and is a scattered settlement on a hillside on the east bank of the Horgefjord , about three kilometers south of Tau . In the fjord, Solbakk is off the island of Heng . The small archipelago islands Store Liarholmen and Litle Liarholmen are also located on site . To the east of Solbakk is the Nordlandsvatnet lake . Riksvei 13 leads through the village . The Ryfylke Tunnel , part of the Ryfast tunnel system , begins north of the village. It tunnels under the fjord and leads to Hundvåg Island and thus to Stavanger .
The rock carvings of Solbakk, discovered in 1923, are located south of Solbakk . The building stones of Nag are a little further south .
There are various prehistoric tombs and archaeological sites in the vicinity of the village.
