Solkau is a district of the Schnega municipality in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
The village, to which the Loitze located to the south belongs, is located northwest of the core area of Schnega and south of the B 71 . Southeast of the city, along the Schnegaer mill trench , the 480 extends ha large nature reserve Schnegaer Mühlenbachtal .
North of Solkau are the 116 meter high Fuchsberge .

On July 1, 1972, Solkau was incorporated into the Schnega community.
