Thune is a district of the Schnega municipality in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
The village is located southeast of the core area of Schnega on the southern border with Saxony-Anhalt . In this area is the Wustrower Dumme , a left tributary of the Jeetzel , border river. West, south and northeast of the Thune extends 650 ha large nature reserve Upper Stupid lowlands .

Field stone chapel
The Protestant chapel is a simple Feldstein - hall church , probably from the 13th century originated. The bell is from 1493.

- Two-stem oak on the northern edge of Thune with a combined circumference of 9.09 m (2016).
