In June 2007 Solrize played their first gig at the aftershow party in the Vienna Arena following the open air concert of Queens of the Stone Age . In August Solrize recorded their first demo EP with six songs in a recording studio in Vienna.

In February 2008, the first album March of the Maraboo was recorded in the same studio.

2009 was Solrize's most successful year to date. Mike Gröger, who also operates the drums at Hollenthon , replaced Markus Freudenthaler on drums in the spring. In 2010 concerts followed in the U4 , in the Gasometer as a support band for Europe , at the Donauinselfest , in the Arena (Vienna) as a support band for Garcia Plays Kyuss and at the opening of the Two Days a Week festival in Wiesen .

In 2011 the band played again at the Donauinselfest and took over the support for Rob Zombie in the Vienna Gasometer. In August, the second album was recorded in California in the studio of Scott Reeder , the former bassist of The Obsessed and Kyuss , who also acted as producer. This album is called Mano Cornuta . Shortly afterwards, bassist Martin Hosserk left the band. He was replaced by Arthur Darnhofer.

In June 2012 Solrize played at the picture on festival . Then guitarist Marco Kohl left the band. He was followed a few months later by Mike Gröger and Arthur Darnhofer.

At the end of 2012, the band in Italy was completely re-formed with Simone Vian on bass, Michele Fontanarosa on guitar and Alberto Trevisan. Elvis Nine is the only remaining founding member in the band.
