Sommer Lecky (born June 14, 2000 in Enniskillen ) is a Northern Irish high jumper .

Athletic career

Sommer Lecky gained her first international experience in 2015 when she won the bronze medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tbilisi with a jump of 1.80 m. In the following year she took eighth place with 1.70 m at the European Youth Championships, which were held for the first time . In 2017 she won the Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau with 1.83 m and in 2018 she reached tenth place at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast with a height of 1.80 m. Then she won the silver medal at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 1.90 m. In 2019 she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 1.75 m and at the U20 European Championships in Borås , Sweden , she was fifth with 1.84 m.

In 2016, Lecky became the Irish champion outdoors and from 2017 to 2020 indoors.
