Sonim e Barreiros is a Portuguese municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Valpaços in northern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform on September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Sonim and Barreiros .

Sonim became the seat of the new administration.
