Tinhela e Alvarelhos is a Portuguese municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Valpaços in northern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities Tinhela and Alvarelhos .

Tinhela became the seat of the new administration.
