Sonja Maria Kröner

Sonja Maria Kröner (* 1979 in Munich ) is a German film director .

Life

Sonja Maria Kröner was born in Munich in 1979. After studying literature and philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , she studied screenwriting and directing at the University of Television and Film Munich from 2003 , where she graduated in 2012 with the short film Zucchini Blossoms.

In 2017 Sonja Maria Kröner's first feature film, Sommerhäuser , was released, a family drama set in 1976. The reviewer in the world saw in the film the possible "beginning of a great career"; he won the New German Cinema Promotion Prize at the Munich Film Festival and the Screenplay Prize of the Bavarian Film Prize .

Sonja Maria Kröner lives in Dießen am Ammersee with her husband and two sons.
