Sophie Alisch (born November 8, 2001 in Berlin ) is a German professional featherweight boxer .

Amateur career

Sophie Alisch spent a large part of her childhood with her family in Kitzbühel, Austria . At the age of ten she started tennis and was appointed to the Tyrolean national team. After her return to Berlin, she started boxing at the Isigym Berlin eV at the age of 13. After six months of boxing training, Sophie Alisch took part in the German junior championships in Saarbrücken in the next higher age group with a special permit from the Berlin Boxing Association and became German runner-up.

In July 2015 she switched to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Boxing Association and from then on was trained by Andy Schiemann and Michael Timm at the Bundesstützpunkt-Nachwuchs in Schwerin , as well as by her home trainer Alexander Wopilow in Berlin. In her first year in Schwerin, Sophie Alisch was appointed to the squad of the German U17 national team. At the national level, the German Boxing Association decided, due to their capabilities, that Alisch should completely skip the U17 age group and enter the next higher class U19.

In October 2016, as a 14-year-old German U19 champion in the weight class up to 57 kilograms, she set a record for the youngest title holder in the U19 class in the history of German Olympic women's boxing. After this success, she was appointed to the Tokyo 2020 perspective of the German Boxing Association. Alisch was the only junior / youth boxer there. Otherwise, the perspective squad consisted only of the “Elite” women's class.

In July 2017, Alisch competed at the Junior European Championships in Sofia and won a bronze medal. In October 2017 she defended the German championship in the weight class up to 57 kilograms and was named "Best Technician" of the tournament. In April 2018, Alisch again won bronze at an international tournament. This time at the European Youth Championships in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Italy.
