Denis Radovan (born October 12, 1992 in Cologne ) is a German professional boxer in the super middleweight and middleweight division .

Amateur career

He began boxing at the age of seven and trained at SC Colonia 06 in Cologne, as well as the Olympic training centers in Heidelberg and Schwerin. He was trained by Zoltan Lunka and Michael Timm, among others .

He was able to record several successes among the schoolchildren, youth and juniors, including winning five German championships. In 2007 he won bronze at the European Schools Championships in England and in 2010 bronze at the World Youth Championships in Azerbaijan. Also in 2010 he finished fifth at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore . In addition, he won the 8th Sokolow Cup in the Czech Republic in 2008 and bronze at the 4th Dan Pozniak Cup in Lithuania in 2009 . During this time he boxed up to the welterweight class.

After moving to the elite class, he continued boxing in the middleweight division. He was German champion in 2011 and 2012, and German runner-up in 2010, 2013 and 2014. In 2012 he won the silver medal at the U22 European Championships in Russia. He had fought his way to the final against Emil Akhmadov from Azerbaijan, Yevgeny Dauhaliawets from Belarus and Davide Faraci from Switzerland, where he was eliminated by Jason Quigley from Ireland. At the Chemistry Cup 2014 he reached third place after losing to Maxim Koptjakow in the semi-final .

In April 2015 he won the gold medal at the 12th Vllaznia Memorial in Albania. At the 1st European Games in 2015 and the European Championships in 2015 , Radovan was eliminated by Maxim Koptjakow, Russia (3: 0) and Salvatore Cavallaro , Italy (2: 1).

In March 2016 he won the Chemistry Cup . He also defeated the Englishman Anthony Fowler and his German opponent Xhek Paskali.

Professional career

In November 2016 he became a professional boxer and signed a contract with Sauerland Event . He won his debut on December 3, 2016 by unanimous decision against József Rácz from Hungary. On April 6, 2019, Radovan won the vacant IBF European Middleweight Championship. In September 2019 he signed a contract with the Berlin sports management and marketing agency O1NE Sport GmbH, which advises WBO International Champion Artur Mann and the Rio Olympians from 2016 Serge Michel and has since been managed by Daniel Todorovic and Marius Schulze.
