Sophie Dethleffs
Sophie Auguste Dethleffs (* 10. February 1809 in Heide , Duchy of Holstein ; † 13. March 1864 in Hamburg ) was a German dialect - poet ( Plattdütsch ).
Life
Sophie Auguste Dethleffs (also: Dethlefs) was born in Heide as the youngest daughter of the fire director and royal official Dethleffs. Her mother died immediately after she was born, her father died in 1838, after which the Justice Council Paulsen accepted her, and she was a kind of companion in his house.
She composed poetry for baptisms, bachelor parties, silver weddings, and similar occasions. She has also written plays. Her poem "De Fahrt na de Isenbahn" was known long before it was printed in a Schleswig-Holstein folk calendar in 1850.
In 1848 Paulsen and Sophie Dethleffs died lonely, in 1853 she was accepted into the Schröderstift for “needy people from better classes” in Hamburg, where she died on March 13, 1864 at the age of 55. Sophie Dethleffs was buried in the St. Katharinen cemetery.
Honors
Klaus Groth wrote a four-stanza poem in honor of Sophie Dethleff.
In the Althamburg memorial cemetery of the Ohlsdorf cemetery , poets and writers are reminded of "Sophie Auguste Dethleffs" on the collective grave plate.
The Dethlefstwiete , named after Sophie Auguste Dethlefs , has existed in Hamburg-Lohbrügge since 1948
