The Sorpe is a 10.3 km long, north-eastern and orographically right tributary of the Lenne in the urban area of Schmallenberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis ( Germany ).
course
The Sorpe, which runs in the Hochsauerland , rises in the Rothaar Mountains . Its source is around 1 km east of the Schmallenberg district of Rehsiepen at around 650 m above sea level. NHN Höhe - around 420 m southwest of the Großer Bildchen . The source brook receives an inflow near the source through a trickle that rises next to a forest path at an altitude of 696.1 m .
First the Sorpe flows in a westerly direction through the districts Rehsiepen, Obersorpe and Mittelorpe . The river then runs south in the Sorpetal through the districts of Rellmecke , Niedersorpe and Winkhausen .
In Winkhausen, the Sorpe flows into the Lenne, a tributary of the Ruhr, coming from the southeast at an altitude of 405 m .
