Career

Club teams

Gioulekas started his career in his hometown with GS Larisa . In 1996 he was appointed to the senior squad, later playing alongside Vasilis Spanoulis , who also comes from the youth department of GS Larisa. In 2002 Gioulekas moved to local rivals Olympia Larisa , but left them after just one season.

For the 2005/06 season he came to the basketball league and was there in the service of the promoted sellbytel Baskets . Gioulekas came to 18.5 points per game in 26 games that season. Nevertheless, the season ended for Nuremberg on a relegation point, but remained in the top division, as the Bundesliga was increased from 16 to 18 teams for the following season. While the main round of the Bundesliga was already over and the league was preparing for the upcoming playoffs, the Greek moved to the ongoing main round of the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy and played the season there for Virtus Bologna . For the 2006/07 season he ran again for the sellbytel Baskets. This time Gioulekas came in 24 games to 14.2 points per game. Again the Greek ended the season in Italy, this time with the Orlandina Basket .

Gioulekas stayed in Italy and moved to the Veroli Basket team , played there for one season and was signed by Basket Napoli the following summer of 2008 . However , the Greek never appeared for Naples . A few weeks after the commitment of the forward, the team's professional license was revoked and it was relegated to the lower class Serie C regional league . Gioulekas moved to New Basket Brindisi , following Scafati Basket before returning to Greece in 2011. There he first played for the Trikala BC rose with this for the 2012/13 season in the A1 Ethniki , but left the club to switch to Koroivos , which then also rose to the A1 Ethniki. Again Gioulekas did not go into the upper house, instead switched to Filippos Veria , whom he should also leave after only one season to play for Iraklis Saloniki in the 2015/16 season .

National teams

Gioulekas was nominated for the U-16 European Championship in Portugal in 1995 . With the Greek selection, he took third place there. He later played a number of games for the U-21 team. He was never called into the selection of the senior squad .
