history

On March 6, 2019, the Alpha Pilot was bought by Strandfaraskip Landsins . The ship was renamed Spógvin and began service on April 2, 2019 as a passenger ferry only .

Route 61 Gamlarætt - Hestur

The Spógvin operates purely as a passenger ferry between Gamlarætt and Hestur . On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the Teistin passenger and car ferry also runs twice a day on the route. The crossing takes 20 minutes.
