geography

course

The Speichenbach rises in a gorge below the summit of the Hahnenkamm (436 m). It flows in a north-westerly direction below the Heilberg (314 m). On dry days it seeps away after about 500 m at the edge of the forest. From there to the local border of Kälberau , the Speichenbach has no fixed brook bed. In the place it is completely piped. At the stop on the Kahl – Schöllkrippen railway line , the Speichenbach flows into the Kahl .

In summer the Speichenbach usually has no water.
