Spencer Gordon Bennet

Spencer Gordon Bennet (born January 5, 1893 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York - † October 8, 1987 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American director .

Career

One of his best known films is Batman and Robin from 1949. In 1948 he also directed the serial Superman . Bennet directed a total of 122 films and serials, produced eight films and appeared as an actor in four films. Therefore he was also known as "The Serial King" and "The King of Serial Directors".

His daughter Harriet Bennet (1920-2006) appeared occasionally as an actress.
