Sports Bakka ( Jap. U-chan Nan-chan no HONO no charenja kore ga dekitara hyaku-man-en !! , dt. "U-chan [and] Nan -chan's passionate candidates - if you can do that, you will get 1 million yen ”) is a Japanese game show that will take place from February 2, 2002 to September 30, 2003 and from September 18 to December 19, 2008 in Germany on DSF , today Sport1 , was seen. In the show, the candidates have to master weird, often athletic tasks, and can win 1,000,000 yen .

Japanese version

The Japanese original was broadcast on Japanese television on TV Asahi from October 17, 1995 to March 28, 2000 . For January 2, 2001, a three-hour special was produced as a conclusion, but it was a compilation of old episodes. The moderators of the show are the Japanese comedy duo U-chan Nan-chan consisting of Teruyoshi Uchimura (内 村 光良, Uchimura Teruyoshi ) and Kiyotaka Nanbara (南 原 清 隆, Nanbara Kiyotaka ). The program is presented in the typical Japanese form of the variety program The moderators, together with well-known studio guests, comment on the video clips of the individual tasks. These often appear as picture-in-picture in one of the upper corners during the clips.

German version

In the German version, the entire program was dubbed by two commentators. In addition, scenes with audio recordings of a woman with a Japanese accent named Kimiko have been added. The actual sequence of the program was retained. At the end of each broadcast, the so-called “Bakka of the day” was chosen, a candidate who, whether successful or not, made a particularly interesting, spectacular or amusing appearance.

There is an error in the logo of the German version. The official program name appears there in German in a Korean-style font as well as in Japanese characters . However, the Japanese characters for fool (バ カ) are Sports Baka and not Sports Bakka .

Games

There was a wide variety of games in this program, but each candidate only needs to win one to receive the 1 million yen. Popular games on the show are:

  • Hot wire , guiding a metal rod through a sometimes very complex course, in which one must not touch the metal borders (begr
  • Jump off a bridge with the bungy rope and grab a ball that drifts down the river With different variations, fruits ( peach and watermelon ) floating on the river have to be split, pasta has to be eaten and a candle has to be placed on a floating cake
  • Various endurance tasks in which you had to stay in a pose for a certain time (usually several hours), for example Variations here are standing on a small platform within a train that is traveling a winding and bumpy 15 km route or treading water for 12 hours or standing on a pole for 12 hours
  • Quiz games in which 100 questions had to be answered correctly in a row, with questions from the areas of Kanji , Anime , Film and topics from school education being passed (100 問)
  • Cope with five tasks from well-known martial arts films , action films or animes . For example famous scenes from films by Jackie Chan , Bruce Lee , from The Matrix and Lupine III
  • Singing karaoke songs without text and without mistakes
  • Climbing a ten-meter-long, slippery, wet slide with an increasing angle of attack without sliding off. Participants are mainly Japanese young girls
  • Eating everything that is delivered on a conveyor belt ( Kaiten-Zushi ) e.g. B. Sushi or ice cream without leaving anything out
  • Jump rope for two minutes (ハ イ パ ー な わ と び), or with 30 people together for one minute
  • Escape from a maze before being found by a disguised opponent
  • Play table tennis on an uneven table with at least ten rallies

In some games (e.g. bungee jump) there is the option of repeating the jump to double the winnings to two million yen. In addition, in special programs such. B. three million yen can be earned with extended versions of the hot wire.
