history
The club was founded as Squash Walddörfer on October 9, 1983 and is based at Sport & Spa Bramfeld and Sportwerk Hamburg . In 2015 the club was renamed Sportwerk Hamburg Walddörfer eV
The club initially had its home system in Hamburg-Sasel . After the plant was closed, the company moved to Hamburg-Bramfeld in 2005 . With the inclusion of the Bundesliga team from Hilden from the 2014/2015 season and the youth group from the Sportwerk in Hagenbeckstrasse in Hamburg-Stellingen , the club grew considerably. In order to meet the new sporting requirements, the home games of most of the club's teams will now take place in the Sportwerk , a facility with 15 squash courts and space for several hundred spectators in front of the center court.
Teams
In the 2016/17 season, the third Bundesliga season in the club's history, the Bundesliga team became champions of the Bundesliga North for the first time, German runners-up and third at the European Champions Cup. With the promotion of the 2nd men's team from the regional league to the Bundesliga, two men's teams have now been reported in the fourth Bundesliga season, with the 2nd men's team mainly consisting of youth players. Since the 2019/2020 season, a team consisting mainly of young talent has been played.
The seven other teams are registered in the Regionalliga-Nord, the Oberliga-Hamburg, as well as the Landesliga-Hamburg and the Regionalliga.
