The Spree-Blick I , Spree-Blick II and Spree-Blick III are passenger ships of the Berlin shipping company Riedel that are used as day trip ships .

history

The ships were built from 2005 to 2006 by the company Werft und Servicezentrum Mittelrhein in Remagen .

The transfer trip from the Rhine over the IJsselmeer to Berlin took ten days. The Spree-Blick I and Spree-Blick II were christened on April 12, 2006 at the Hansabrücke in Berlin by the moderators Jeanine Weiding and Tom Westerhoft . The Spree-Blick III was christened on July 31, 2006.

The ships are used on Berlin's waterways .

description

The ships are powered by a diesel engine . The propulsion is done by a Schottel rudder propeller , the propeller of which is made of plastic to reduce weight. A generator powered by a Deutz diesel engine (type: BF 4 M 1013) with an output of 77  kW (85  kVA apparent power ) is available for generating electricity on board .

The ships are equipped with a transverse thruster control system. The spherical wheel drive used in the Spree-Blick III is a novelty . This drive with a minimal noise level was developed by Delphin-Tec Schiffstechnik in Andernach , and it is being used for the first time in this new construction of the Riedel fleet .

The ship's steering position is at the bow . The forecastle of the Spree-Blick III is drawn a little higher than on the other two ships to protect it from splashing water.

Both the roof and the side window elements of the ships can be opened completely. A controllable external shading system with a transparent Teflon coating gives you a panoramic view of the bank. Thanks to the low superstructures, the ships can be used on Berlin's waterways with their low bridges. They are also suitable for driving on the Berlin Landwehr Canal.

The ships are approved for 130 passengers. Seats are available for 105 passengers.
