Spring (source)
As Spring is especially in Thuringia an artesian spring called, often in the karstic limestone territories of the Thuringian Basin is found. The term goes back to the Middle High German word sprinc (High German: (ent) jump ) and is also used in English as a term for well or spring.
In the Thuringian Jump, water usually seeps away elsewhere, which sometimes flows over several kilometers in underground crevices and reappears in geological faults in deep places.
